Hi, I’m Kehinde! A Black girl who mastered surviving and is exploring what thriving feels like even when the world around me ain’t worthy of my fullness. But that’s what this space provides, a safe place to bring my whole self. All of the content you’ve come to enjoy in one location and a few new things. If you’re a Black girl or woman surviving and thriving, this is a space for you. And if you live and love with Black girls and women, this is a space for you too.
My life’s work is to help improve the lives of all Black people with a lived and learned focus on Black girls and women. I do that work through three core paths, writing, empowerment, and the sustainability of orgs that work to dismantle systems of white supremacy and patriarchy. To those ends, I write, speak and facilitate workshops and trainings about issues that impact Black girls and women. I also consult on foundation fundraising, write grants, conduct grant writing workshops and provide recommendations to best position your organization to receive funding. I’m something like a beast having consistently and successfully written six and seven-figure grants for many of the nation’s largest funders in a variety of program and policy areas including racial justice, women’s rights and health, economic justice, workplace justice, education, criminal legal system, mentoring, sexual assault, domestic violence, and more.
