What Kehinde Talking About?

Diversity Project Annual Retreat- The Adversity of Living Black, Brown and Othered in the U.S.A.

May 10, 2015

I got to facilitate this year’s Diversity Project retreat. Our theme this year was The Adversity of Living Black, Brown and Othered in The U.S.A. The scholars were challeneged to examine systemic privilege and oppression, social determinants, and activism.  They also conducted a mock trial and prepared skits based on what they learned. The Diversity Project Scholars never cease to amaze me with their ability to critically examine the world around them. With the Scholars as leaders, I am very hopeful for the future of our world!
