Sylvie’s Love is the Movie Black Women Deserve

Because it depicts the love we deserve. Not that struggle love. Or that perpetually sacrificial love. Look up one day and all your dreams are gone but maybe you still got love and that’s supposed to be enough love. It ain’t enough and most times when you ain’t got nothing left to give folks don’t want the love you got.

Because it shows us that just because somebody love you don’t mean you love them back and even if you do it don’t mean they make you happy happy.

Because it illustrates that even if all your basic needs and desires are met you can still desire more.

Because it portrays conflict without violence. This is possible. This is healthy.

Because it reminds us that you can give love a second chance with the same somebody. And even a third so long as you still feeling loved. Cared for. Important.

Because it highlights that Black women are worthy of folks making sacrifices for our happiness, even if the sacrifice they must make is not having us in their lives.

Because it gives us love without trauma and we deserve that.

Because it gives us love without trauma and we deserve that.

Because it gives us love without trauma and we deserve that.
